Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Expanded Function Dental Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will assist dentist in providing care to patients and help with administrative tasks in a dental office setting.
This office is a fee for service practice providing high quality dentistry focused on comprehensive dentistry and looking to expand our team.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs -Place restorations and have an understanding of occlusion - Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment - Take and develop dental X-rays - Maintain accurate patient records - Schedule appointments and manage patient records - Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant experience - Knowledge of medical documentation and terminology - Familiarity with infection control protocols, including HIPAA regulations - Proficiency in X-Ray procedures and equipment operation - Ability to perform dental receptionist duties when needed - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus - Understanding of anatomy and oral health principles - Familiarity with dental software such as Epic is advantageous Join our team to contribute to the well-being of our patients while advancing your career in the dental field.
