The role involves developing and implementing inventory control strategies, optimizing inventory levels, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management processes.
Essential Job Functions Assist warehouse operations by stock control, inventory management, including vehicle inventory.
Become proficient in the Company's software application.
Monitor inventory levels regularly and develop strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
Implement inventory control measures to prevent loss, theft, or damage to goods.
Adjust inventory levels based on seasonal variations, promotions, and other factors affecting demand.
Assist with organizing an orderly and efficient warehouse layout to enable smooth movement of goods and optimize storage space.
Implement proper labeling and categorization of inventory items.
Collaborate with procurement team to negotiate favorable terms and pricing with vendors to optimize procurement.
Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, transactions, and warehouse activities.
Generate regular reports on inventory performance, stock movement, and other warehouse metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends and recommend inventory optimization strategies.
Conduct training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of inventory personnel.
Identify opportunities for process optimization within the warehouse and implement best practices to increase efficiency and productivity.
Continuously seek ways to improve service delivery through better warehouse management.
Assist with maintaining data in centralized flat rate pricebook, working with various departments and platform businesses.
Monitor inventory transactions for accuracy across platform businesses.
Monitor inventory costing for accuracy, correcting as needed.
Assist with inventory processes and procedures across platform businesses.
Assist with integrating new acquisitions from an inventory perspective.
Travel to platform businesses as needed (Estimated 10%) Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a dynamic environment.
Strong leadership and communication abilities to coordinate with various teams and vendors.
Proficiency in using warehouse management software, and enterprise resource planning software Proficiency in using MS Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
) High proficiency in Microsoft Excel with understanding of advanced formulas (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, etc.
) Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects when required.
Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
